  2. patterns of industrialism, industrial nations, and 
  3. nationhood goes with this global village, or global 
  4. theatre now with video conferencing, satellites, 
  5. and satellite imagery. We‚Äôre not in a global village 
  6. anymore, we‚Äôre miles beyond that. This is the 
  7. theatre we‚Äôre in, and everybody‚Äôs on stage all the 
  8. time. It‚Äôs a theatre without any plot so it‚Äôs quite 
  9. absurd. And only the unexpected happens, there‚Äôs 
  10. nothing expected. So the news becomes quite 
  11. important as giving you in retrospect, today‚Äôs 
  12. script, if you will. The purpose of news isn‚Äôt really 
  13. to give people information, it‚Äôs to tell them how
